A Real Resolution

As we step into 2026, let these four steps from Philippians 3:13 guide you to move forward in faith, embrace God’s plan, and step boldly into the new season He has prepared
Every move of God is intentional, even when it feels unfamiliar. Paul lays it out plainly in Philippians 3:13, and it reads like a roadmap for anyone serious about moving forward in 2026.
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead”
Philippians 3:13 (NKJV)
Step One: Forget About the Past
The past was real. It mattered. It taught lessons, exposed wounds, and brought victories and failures. But it is over. Forgetting does not mean denying what happened. It means refusing to let it dictate your future. You cannot pursue what is ahead while focused on what was behind.
Step Two: Stretch Yourself
Paul says he is “reaching forward.” That implies effort. Stretching is uncomfortable by nature, and discomfort is often what keeps people from moving forward. Faith that never stretches never matures. God will call you beyond what feels safe or familiar. That stretch is not punishment. It is preparation for your purpose.
Step Three: It’s Ahead of You
God is not making your future up as He goes. He has already gone before you and established a plan. You may not see the entire path, but it is prepared. Reaching forward in faith and obedience reveals the next step. Clarity follows movement.
Step Four: Go For It
At some point, faith stops analyzing and starts acting. Paul presses on. Forward motion requires courage, commitment, and trust in God’s direction. New beginnings never come from standing still.
God is calling you forward in 2026. Trust Him. Say yes to His will. Step into the adventure He has prepared for you.
